Is it possible to train yourself to become someone like GWH? He reads pages of books within seconds and can recite passages from different books with ease.

No you just have to be like that. Sorry. My grandpa could recite long passages verbatim. Some people are just off the charts

Nope its not possible, if you don’t have it already then you aren’t going to get it later.

Yeah… you’re born with a photographic memory.

But… you can get to the point where you understand the math and chem and stuff in the movie without having a photo. memory

That was a fictional movie. There aren’t uneducated people who can outdo the world’s best scholars based on a little bit of self-study. It’s like comparing your physical fitness to that of superman; it’s unhelpful and discouraging.

that was part of the point of his character. he had intelligence found in an individual once every several generations.

if what you take from that movie is ‘i want to be like that,’ you’re missing the point of the movie. dude, don’t insult my favourite movie like that (just messing with you, lol)

WWJR: the thing is that he was not an uneducated person. he was so incredibly intelligent that he felt compelled to fill his mind with the wisdom contained in the volumes of his local library. it wasn’t a matter of him being able to or him doing so because it was good for him, but because such an off-the-scales intellect demands it.

Yeah watch the movie again.

Then watch A Beautiful Mind

Then another math movie…

Who likes apples?

Well, since you made this pointless thread, I doubt the OP would ever be able to be “like GWH.”

with great power comes great responsibility
=|

i’ll be happy just staying average joe

Do you guys know any other college/math-related movies that are as good as that one? I’ve already seen 21 and A Beautiful Mind (after watching GWH 3 times bymyself then making my friends watch it with me).
