Goodbye Fred Phelps

This is an awful way to feel, but does anyone care? What a hateful, unpleasant man. Articles say that in addition to all the horrible behaviors of the Westboro Baptist church, he was physically abusive to his family. And to think his agenda was supposedly to help people get to heaven? Wonder where he went, or if anyone will picket his funeral…

Let us hope that he is simply and resoundingly IGNORED!

While I wouldn’t dance on his grave, this piece telling me how I “should” feel annoyed me.

http://www.mommyish.com/2014/03/17/dying-westboro-baptist-church-leader/

What a disgusting human being. If there is a heaven, I am sure he won’t be there.

Nrdsb4,
I couldn’t even get past the first few lines of that article. Seems we should do unto others… He deserves to reap what he sowed.

I am completely indifferent.

Maybe someone should hire some cheesy musicians like the Bee Gees, Vanilla Ice, NKOTB, or KISS to set up and play non-stop for a few weeks at his graveside as a send-off. :D

I’m normally one of those “don’t speak ill of the dead” people, but I am dancing on his grave in my head (I will never go to his actually grave- he doesn’t deserve the attention in death either). He and his ilk threatened to protest my BIL’s funeral (they never showed- surprise). Either way, he was scum. I wish there was a God just so he could find out right about now just how wrong he was.

Good-bye and good riddance.

To desecrate his funeral would be to stoop to his level.

I can only imagine the humility he would feel entering a heaven where gays and others are standing beside him. Finding out that he was wrong in a loving environment would be far more humbling than being slapped upside the head, IMO. That would truly prove that love is more powerful than hate, and that love and acceptance are what is right, rather than hate and judgment.

How about doing both?? =D>

His hypocracy is beyond disgusting

The comments on CNN were loading so fast there was major lag. You can guess the basic gist of them but most people were pretty controlled though gleeful. Kinda awful but totally understandable.

Your post brought this to mind:

http://cdn.iwastesomuchtime.com/31420141428173.jpg

BeeGees cheesy? NO!!!

Alwaysamom, my sentiments exactly!

ditto sschickens–I love the Bee Gees

Playing youtube videos of huns, goths and vandals, now that would do him in and make him roll over in his grave.

As my grandpa used to say, if you have nothing good to say, stay silent. Well, the guy does not deserve a kind word… and with that said, I will keep my mouth shut.

LOL, jym. Perfect!

A few problems:

Phelps is likely to enjoy it.

The Huns, Goths, and Vandals do have standards.

They prefer not raiding places where there’s a high probability of starvation rations due to lack of meaningful catering at the event.

Everything from that clan is liable to be a boobytrapped prize.

I agree with those who pitied him, I don’t feel any animosity for a caricature.
Actually, he gave those who are for equal rights, a visual to rally around.
Similar to the common enemy portrayed by George Wallace et al., during the fight for civil rights.

Without Fred Phelps, would we have George Takei?
