end of an era. Loved “you were so beautiful”.

RIP, Joe.

:(

Sad! :(

I always liked, “Feels like Forever” from “The Cutting Edge” soundtrack.

Loved " With A Little Help from My Friends"

You can leave your hat on …

I was just telling my kids the other day about the time John Belushi imitated him on SNL.

My first and only Cocker alum was the CD he released in the early 1990s. Sort of a comeback, more or less, after his personal problems. Great album. Never received the acclaim it should have.

Bummer… Joe Cocker was great.

My favorite was “Life’s Been Good” -

I go to parties, sometimes until four
It’s hard to leave when you can’t find the door
It’s tough to handle this fortune and fame
Everybody’s so different, I haven’t changed."

Sad…My generation knew Joe Cocker for the theme song for “The Wonder Years”–“With a Little Help From My Friends.”

What a voice - I like his cover of “With A Little Help from My Friends” far better than the original, and I think that’s the only Beatles song I’ve felt that way. RIP Joe Cocker.

A once in a generation voice. He will be missed.

“Mad Dogs and Englishman” spinning this morning in his honor. <a href=“Joe Cocker "The Letter" in live 1970 (MAD DOGS & ENGLISHMEN) - YouTube”>Joe Cocker "The Letter" in live 1970 (MAD DOGS & ENGLISHMEN) - YouTube;

As a certified Beatlemaniac, I’m pretty sour on most Beatles covers - but Joe Cocker really took that song and made it his own and brought something new to the interpretation. He also did a great cover of “She Came in Through The Bathroom Window.”

When you think of what all he was taking during the Woodstock era, it is a bit surprising that he lived to be 70! Glad we had him that long!

[I need some wonder loaf!](<a href=“Joe Cocker With a Little Help From my Friends Woodstock reinterpreted lyrics - YouTube”>Joe Cocker With a Little Help From my Friends Woodstock reinterpreted lyrics - YouTube)

I took a dance class where we learned a routine to “You Can Leave Your Hat On.” Another great song!

I hadn’t even realized that some of those great songs I’ve loved were his recordings. RIP

Though I know Joe Cocker wasn’t the first to record “You Are So Beautiful”, his version was the one that introduced the song to me and made it one of the songs I would sing to my infants during those wee-hours rocking chair sessions (but more softly, gently and slowly, of course). The simple lyrics said everything I felt about my new little creatures. Big lump in my throat about Cocker’s passing.
