<p>The Federal Trade Commission just announced it is dropping its investigation of Google, after a two-year inquiry. The Forbes.com article about it is very interesting, and absolutely slaps Microsoft and other Google competitors for alleged hypocrisy. This case (the complaint from the competition) was probably doomed from the start. The tech industry changes just too fast for regulators to keep up. And the technology marketplace seems to work pretty well already, in that we consumers emphatically reject products and ideas that inconvenience us or don’t make sense to us.</p>
