So I guess now all our time on the internet will be spent “Topeka’ing.” Hmmm…it just doesn’t sound the same. Boy, I’ll be glad when it’s Friday!! ;)

thank you for clearing that up; I figured it was some tribute to the Kansas city…

Topeka has been trying to get Google’s new high-speed network; I know Pittsburgh has been also trying to get it. The mayor may have actually said something about changing the city’s name to Google recently.

It’s not just an April Fool’s prank?

Oh, no. Totally serious.

I had heard that Topeka changed their name to Google. They really did do this - temporarily. I thought that Google was cute this morning!

Just in case anybody thinks Garland is serious, it really is April 1.

Hate to spoil the fun :)

I have trouble believing anyone could think I am ever totally serious, for the record…:)

Garland is totally serious. Topeka Kansas changed their name to Google on March 1st. It was a temporary change and lasted a month.

So, 3bm103, I hate to spoil your fun but… lol.

I googled something this morning and wondered for a moment why the heck it said Topeka. Then I promptly forgot about it until now. Thanks for clearing the matter up. :)

I suppose that this is a good time to let all the pet-lovers out there know that Google has also developed an app for animal translation:
[Google Translate for Animals](http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/landing/translateforanimals/)

Anyone notice yesterday that Gmail had a temporary vowel outage?

I thought it was amusing that Johns Hopkins University announced they were getting rid of the “s” in “Johns.” They had been planning that prank for a year.

Gotta love those nerds at JHS.

A REAL Animal Translator would be really easy to design.

Input = any animal noise
Output/Translation = FEED ME.

lol

I think you’re right! Ever hear about cat ladies who are found dead in their apartments, half-eaten by their cats? I think that all along the cats were just waiting for her to become a meat buffet.
