Google

“But he cautioned that the warning sign will come when Google becomes so dominant that customers cannot do without it. How well will Google deal with its customers’ problems then?'”

So everyone, are you locked into Google? Have you become pretty much emotionally dependent on it?

…

Personally, I have. While I can back up my e-mails easily, the other features of my google account are not easily backed up. And I like my “Web History” part of Google - that part’s hard to back up. And I heavily rely on the google search for my e-mails - I often store files in my gmail account because it’s so much easier to search for them there. It’s as if my entire identity for the last 3 years is contained on my Google account.

yeah…so if google starts to demand money, I’d certainly do anything to keep it.

ehh. well i like the e-mail, and i love the calendar, but i still store most of my stuff on my actual hard drive. i’d probably just switch to somewhere else if Google wanted money.

i’d pay for wikipedia though. except that’s a user-edited encyclopedia, so i doubt i’ll ever have to pay.

I rely on Google for absolutely everything.

Wow. That would totally suck. I’m the same-I use it as another hard drive-I make a copy of papers, etc, just in case something happens. And I google everything, to the point that even like 10 hours away has me itching.

I would cry.

Am I the only person who doesn’t use Google? I upload any docs and emails I need to an internet site through my school.

well, you’re probably not the only person. A girl once asked me what amazon.com was. I said, you know it’s like barnes and nobles online. And she was like, what’s barnes and noble…I hope she was kidding
