I got my ACT (with writing) score today, 34 Composite. I’m incredibly busy on Saturdays this spring and have no real desire to take the SAT I. Is my score high enough and the test widely accepted enough for me to just not bother with it?

I should mention that I’m a junior.

The ACT is accepted everywhere and your score is very high. There is no reason to take the SAT.

Your ACT is in a cool range going by this
year’s accepted SAT scores…

…you still do have to take the SAT IIs
for most of the schools and those are
given on Saturdays too…?

Actually, there are only a handful of schools that require SAT II’s in addition to the ACT. Most will take the ACT in lieu of both SAT I and II.

Forget about it unless you just want to see how well you do. You’re in to most schools now.

Not unless you have scholarships that require SATs, such as National Merit
