Got an F, am i done for?

<p>Ok, so i got an F one quarter in Physics. 47%. In my school, our exam grades are our report grades.(GCE system). We dont have quizzes and assignments to pad our grades with. I came back to get a B in my finals if that helps. Am i out of the running for top schools? I.e. cornell, mit, harvey mudd, stanford etc</p>

<p>Both the F and the B will be shown. Btw, a ‘B’ in GCE is equivalent to am A- in American GPA. The final grade will carry more weight obviously since the quarter grade was a small test whereas the final grade</p>
