Got invited to a transfer program?

So I was “indirectly” rejected, meaning I was rejected because of some issues. Anyways, so a few days ago, I got invited to a transfer program called “Parkland Pathway to Engineering”. The letter said that they were impressed by my work in highschool, and would like to have me as an engineering student next year. Therefore, they personally invited me to the program.

Has anybody heard of this programe? Did they really, as they said, invite a “selected group of students”? Is it a good programe?

I am asking because my parents think this is another way for them to make money. Thank you.

Shameless Bump…

I saw something about this in the Chicago Tribune yesterday. It talked about Harper Community College and their affiliation now with U of I engineering. I don’t know much about it but it certainly sounds legit and is a great opportunity for a student who either can’t afford 4 years at U of I or just misses the cut to make it in the engineer program. Definitely worth checking out:
