Got the same score twice. Should I take the SAT a third time?

The first time I took it I scored a 1990.
Critical Reading: 720
Writing: 720
Math: 550

I took it again and studied to try and improve my crappy Math score…and scored 1990 again.
Critical Reading: 690
Writing: 670
Math: 620

Would it be worth it to study and take it again, or should I just stick with what I have?

You are at a 2060 superscore now. How much time to you have to prepare for next sitting? Do you have access to real practice tests so that you can drill the math?

The next two tests are 11/8 and 12/6. As far as practice tests go, I have eleven of them from the Collegeboard SAT book.

Do you know where you will be applying? Are your scores in range for these schools? If not, carve out time to take on full-length practice test each weekend under simulated test conditions (timed, breaks, etc)

I wouldn’t attempt the November test as you wouldn’t have time to prep.

Try the ACT. You might get a higher score.

I second the advice to take the ACT. My son took the SAT two times and scored the same overall. He took the ACTs and ended up scoring the equivelent of 100 points higher.

The question is whether you can get a better score. Has you reached a plateau in practice score? It yes, is it pretty much inline with your current score?

If you are applying to schools that Superscore, one month is a good time to improve on Maths. You can raise it 100 points you will be at 2160 Superscore. It is possible to improve Maths and Vocab if you are willing to put in the time.
