Like most people in new jersey seem to know, Rutgers is not too hard to get into if you’re in state but you have to remember that a lot of kids that get in do not stay in or graduate. I know at least one of my friends dropped out after being put on academic probation.

As to everyone asking about chances, from what I’ve seen as long as you live in NJ and are a decent student you should get in to SAS. I don’t know much about out of state chances.

what about me 1040/1600 3.8 GPA with alumni in-state

What is Ruthers New B rank

They were ranked 50th by Business Week in 2008. Apparently the marketing and finance programs are great whereas marketing and management aren’t as great.

[The Top Undergrad Business Schools - BusinessWeek](http://images.businessweek.com/ss/08/02/0228_top50_bschools/index_01.htm)

In 2007 though, they were ranked 32nd. Not sure why they had such a fall from grace but at least it’s still top 50 and close to NYC.

US News rankings are to be taken with a grain of salt. Large institutions don’t change that much in terms of quality of education on a year-to-year basis to warrant that large a move, in either direction, in rankings.

Having said that, I’d characterize RU’s Finance Dept as good, but not great. It’s more than adequate if you want to do corporate (as in working for a corporation) finance, not so hot if you’re looking into a career in IB.

I’m a junior in highschool… My cumulative GPA is 3.404, I’m taking Physics AP, Anatomy AP, and Geometry honors which are my only honors classes. I havent taken the SAT yet… I take part in school activities, volenteer, and had a job last summer… I also have family that graduated from Rutgers. With this given information will I get accepted to RU… With EOF? And what should I improve in to make my Rutgers University acceptance garunteed? Don’t mind the speeling x). Thank you for your time and your opinions and comment will mean a lot to me. Once again thank you
