GPA could and should be better....is there a place for me?

<p>Yeah, I agree. SAT scores are not too bad, and your course load will be taken into consideration, so your weighted gpa is probably a lot higher.</p>

<p>Wish I had been more competitive academically. Not focused, I guess. Life experiences drive me more than that “A” on a piece of paper. Love knowledge and acquiring it…teachers all say I am an asset to their classes…have a problem with homework though…organization and time management. I just finished my JR year so have a very small amount of time to bring GPA up. (It is unweighted). I sure feel screwed though!!</p>

There are tons of schools in the top 100 and top 50 where u could have a shot at getting in. Obviously schools such as NYU might be a big long shot but if u raise ur SATs to say a 20000 then u might have a better shot. </p>

<p>Id like to suggest a few but again, I know little about where u wanna go.</p>

<p>American University is probably my top choice. Boston U would also be nice. Would love to stay on east coast but am open to any school with good international relations program.</p>

<p>hey, dont beat yourself up, you can get in a lotta places! trust me, i’ve seen kids with 1100 (M+V) get in, and so can you. our fricken class president owns a 1180 SAT…yeah, and she’ll get in too. Otherwise, retry the ACT, ive heard it helps tons, alotta ppl improve their ACT so much on a second/third sit. </p>

<p>You can try Penn State, UPitt, etc. But of course you can’t really get into HYPS or ivies unless you like save the world or write gorgeous essays.</p>

<p>Been doing a little research…what about Rhodes and Beloit. They seem to have decent International Relations programs. Would I have a chance at them?</p>
