GPA cutoffs?

I’m confused as to what uoft’s gpa cutoffs are, and I can’t seem to find it anywhere on their website. could someone send a link?

I don’t think UofT posts minimum GPA cutoffs publicly. When S24 applied, he only listed coursework from grade 11 and later provided an update for the first semester coursework from grade 12.

This is not a cutoff, but to get an idea of the average entering grades of first-year students (this goes for all the Ontario universities), go on the Council of Ontario Universities website: https://cudo.ouac.on.ca/

Select “B. Admission” in the dropdown, then “B3 (Secondary School Averages)” in the second dropdown, then check the boxes for all the universities you want to compare. On the next page, you can choose to see averages by specific program or “overall” average at the very bottom of the dropdown.

NB: The site doesn’t seem to have data past 2021, so you must slide the bar at the top right of the page until you get 2021 and the data appears. Otherwise it looks blank.

Overall, 50.5% of U of T (St. George campus) first-years had a high-school average of 95%+. That goes up to 87.1% of first-years (with an average of 95%+) for the computer science stream. And so on. It’s helpful to search for the specific program you’re interested in.

You didn’t say if you were applying from Canada or the USA, but for Americans, the middle 50% of accepted applicants have a GPA of 3.7 to 4.0 with an SAT score of 1430–1540. I believe the overall entering average at the St. George campus is about 93.9%.
