<p>How much would it matter if my first-semester GPA was 3.84 and my second-semester 3.3-3.4 or so and I’m applying to competitive schools (not Ivy League, but within top 20-30)? Would they care? I’d have an admissions decision by the time they’d get my grades, so it’d just be a matter of rescinding. If it matters, I’m taking 19 credits instead of the usual 15.</p>

<p>My lowest grade would be a B-, and not having it would put me up +.10. Is such a difference worth withdrawing for, or does withdrawing look much worse than B-?</p>

<p>withdrawing for such a reason makes you look like a coward who can’t handle his courses responsibly, why not withdraw from every course that you dont have an A in and get a 4.0 GPA? it doesn’t work that way.</p>
