<p>the high SAT scorers in this group are self-selective. Many students who get a 1500/1600 on the SAT and go to Univ. of Oregon are not trying to max out their potential through the most rigorous college coursework they can handle. They’re either chasing financial aid or simply taking it easy. The ones taking it easy are seen in this graph–which only focuses on the outliers.</p>
<p>Not so fast, justtotalk. A person with 98th-percentile SATs with a high school GPA under 3.0 is dangerously at risk of flunking out of college. The toxic cocktail of high IQ and low GPA is the harbinger of the demise of countless students. Taking it easy? More like the challenge of a lifetime.</p>
<p>well according to this im destined to just be a bum for the rest of my life and fail out of college. Well i might as well drop out now and stop wasting my parent’s money on something thats useless since ill never make it in any major. oh well…</p>
