So I am trying to be a Math BA for High School Teaching major, but I ended up getting a 2.4 gpa total with the prerequisites when you need a 2.5, do you think they will still let me into the major? Is there any way to explain my case to them and they will still let me into the major? Or do I have to retake a class?

I suggest that you set up a meeting with the undergrad advisor for the Math dept to see what they suggest. They are in the best position to give you advice.

Also, have you considered a minor in math instead of a major? I think that still lets you take enough math classes to qualify to teach HS math, but that you don’t have to be admitted to the program; simply pass the required courses and you have the minor. I’m not certain about this, but you might want to look into it.
