I calculated that by the end of junior year, my cumulative (frosh-junior) GPA will be ~4.07 weighted. I really want to get into the top 10% at my school, but I’m not sure if that’s high enough. I go to an average California public school with ~2500 students. Anyone who goes to a similar school in California care to share what GPA qualifies as top 10% at your school?

Current class rank does not matter for UC admissions.

What may matter is if your GPA is above the top 9% historic GPA at your school, which would qualify you as Eligible in Local Context. Meaning that if you will get admitted to UC Merced if you do not get admitted to one of the UCs that you apply to.

^Assuming the OP’s HS is an ELC eligible school.
