GPA only for previous school, or ALL schools?

Hey, everyone. I’ve got a bit of a question that I’m confused on. I previously attended a 4-year university, but was unable to pass some classes because of some serious medical issues, so I left for a community college back home so that I could get my health in check. Now I’m about to finish my transfer pathway (TN) and I have guaranteed admission to all public 4-year Universities except for one. UTK places priority for students with the TN Transfer Pathway, but it’s still competitive.

When I look at my transcript from the CC I am attending, it only lists classes I’ve passed, and doesn’t make any note of the classes I failed in my last semester of the 4-year I attended. It doesn’t make any note in the GPA or anything. So, if I apply to UTK, will they only look at what my current 2-year transcript shows, or will they also take a look at my transcript from the 4-year?

I’m sorry if this question is confusing, I’m not the best at expressing my questions through the internet, but I would be happy to clarify if needed. Thanks!

You will have to send your transcripts from both schools and they will look at all transferable credits.

Yes, UTK will look at all of your previous records. Whether or not your old bad grades matter, given that you now have fulfilled the TN Transfer Pathway requirements is something that we don’t know. Contact the Transfer Admissions Office at UTK, and speak with one of the supervisors there to get the correct answer.
