GPA question for grad school

Hi,

I was just wondering for med school consideration. Here is my situation, I transferred from a CC with a gpa of about 2.8 or 2.9, I cant remember off the top of my head, but I transferred to UCR and majored in Business Economics. I graduated with a 3.51 cumulative and cum laude, I was also on the dean’s honor list for spring 08. I would like to go back and do my pre-med classes, of course I am assuming I will get A’s.

Will the med schools jsut look at my science grades and recent GPA from UCR? Or will they factor all the GPA in from UCR AND CC?

Thanks

All grades count.

So does it mean that I have no chance at med school then?

It’s very hard for any one factor to completely disqualify you.

If med schools weigh the time spent at the university more than the JC, then it would make sense that bad grades at the JC wouldn’t hurt as much unless they were in prereqs.

the classes at JC were mostly GEs like english, etc.
