GPA Question

Hey everyone!

I’m currently a freshman at the University of Central Florida with an intent to graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. My question is simple: I’m planning on staying here for another 4 years. If my GPA ends at a 3.4 this semester, can I raise it up to a 3.8 or 3.9 before I graduate?

Also, can someone tell me some requirements for Georgia Tech?

Thanks

If it’s your 1st or 2nd semester, then of course it’s possible to get it to 3.8 or 3.9 (given enough credits). A string of 4.0s will do the trick.

Create your schedule for the next four years, make a reasonable estimation of the grade you’ll get in each class, and then calculate your cumulative GPA … that will answer your first question. What sorts of requirements? You can do much more informed research than we can. Figure out what you want to do for grad school, and then look at various grad programs in that field and determine what you’ll need to do meet their admissions requirements. Almost all of this information is available online.
