<p>Depends on the college. Some colleges de-emphasize the SAT like Guilford College (they allow a portfolio instead of the SAT). But most of the time courses,grades, and grade improvement is the most important. According to my conversation with a UNCG admissions officer, 70% of their decisions are made on grades.</p>
