GPA

Is a 4.3 weighted gpa good?

Yes, but it depends upon which schools you are targeting. GPA is only part of your application.

Yes.

Do you really need to ask?

Technically it depends on how your school grades and what weight they give grades in honors courses and AP courses. I will assume you are talking about a 4.0 scale for regular courses and bonus of 0.5 and/or 1.0 for the more rigorous courses, as opposed to a 6.0 scale. Those factors are important, as well as a breakdown of how many honors and AP classes comprise that GPA, and also how many AP courses your school offers.

@fallenchemist is right. If you’re from NC a 4.3 is slightly below the average GPA for NC State (4.4) and UNC Chapel Hill (4.5). A 4.3 will easily get you into any other NC public school such as Appalachian State (4.2), East Carolina (3.6) or UNC Asheville (3.9).
