How hard is it to raise a GPA during junior year, say a 3.5??

Depends… where are you starting from?

a 3.5…

you pretty much need straight A’s and even that can’t bring it up too high I dont think higher than a 3.7

How bad of a gpa is that if I’m applying to wharton as a urm first gen college student?

You could probably get in with a 3.5 if you’re an URM & first generation. You’d need to have pretty good ECsthough.

^ Test scores would be highly important as well.

Wow, a case when test scores actually matter… From my won experience, solid test scores won’t make up for a dip in GPA, but then I’m Asian, so the competition was fierce anyway. :P

As long as you work hard and you’re dedicated, I think you still have a shot. Good luck.
