<p>Hi, my counselor wrote that my GPA is 3.9 but I’m positive that it should be 4.0. We use a % scale up to 100 so it is hard to convert to a 4.0 scale. </p>
<p>So, my rank is 1 but GPA is 3.9. Will this effect me (for merit aid) in any way?</p>
<p>A 3.9 or a 4.0 is going to get you in either way. </p>
<p>Your bigger issue is going to be if that 3.9 knocks you out of the top 5% of your class and you don’t get into the honors college (which is the only way to have a guaranteed scholarship IIRC). </p>
<p>Other than that, trivial problem.</p>

Not sure if there really are scholarships for 4.0ers…I never heard of any last year. :/</p>
