I went to two different colleges and want to apply to law school but in one college I got a 3.53 GPA and the other a 2.0. How will they add the GPAs? Separately or together cumulative?
Depends entirely on what classes you took, how many credits at each college, the policy of the law school.
If you took more than 12 credits with a 2.0 it’s going to be a factor somehow, either in your overall cumulative GPA or if they start looking at your GPA in your major.
I took one class at a separate school and got a 2.0 in that class, it was and English class and my major is Sociology.
If you only have one class at a 2.0, it’s not going to affect your overall GPA very much. If it’s not a requirement for law school, or a pre-req for a class that is a requirement you might conveniently leave it off your application if you are that concerned about it, but with a 3.53 elsewhere, it would drop you down to what? A 3.51? Although that’s a little dishonest since the application will surely ask you to list every school you attended.
You’ll be fine.
