GPA's used in UC statistics

When UC schools put out their annual stats for admitted students, what version of GPA do they use? the regular GPA reported on transcripts or the UC calculated GPA?

probably UC GPA

Masha, at least some of the UC’s use different versions in different places. (You will see different “average GPA” numbers for the same school, same year in different contexts.) The numbers on the UCOP.edu website are UC GPA. For example, the central UC office reports a 4.17 UC average for all admitted students to UCLA, but UCLA reports a 4.25 fully weighted average in the “freshman profile” the campus publishes. So if the .08 grade points make a difference to you, you have to look at the numbers carefully.

I think everyone should just stop thinking about it until you get your acceptance/rejection…you can’t change anything anyway.
