Grace Period for Columbia

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I missed the January 1st deadline for Columbia. I called the admissions officer today (January 2nd) and asked if I could submit my application now. He said yes (I love you Columbia).</p>

<p>Now, I just checked my CommonApp after submitting my last application and I noticed Columbia hasn’t ‘Downloaded’ my application yet. I am missing some school forms (it says they’re ‘In Progress’), but otherwise, I submitted my application as soon as my call with the admissions officer ended. Could the fact that my application isn’t downloaded be attributed to my tardiness (in which case it could go two ways - 1. The admissions office still accepting my application, but simply hasn’t downloaded it yet or 2. They’re not going to bother with a tardy application) or 3. They haven’t downloaded my application because it was ‘incomplete’ (but will still accept it since the grace period for counselors are usually longer)?</p>

<p>Which scenario would it be?</p>

<p>I know this sounds hypocritical, seeing as I handed in my application past the deadline, but I really want to get in Columbia. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks :)</p>

<p>Last year, all of mine were downloaded the day afterwards, not immediately. Don’t start worrying unless it’s Saturday and there’s still no change.</p>
