I didn’t have the chance to attend this special person’s graduation. She will be an English major in the fall here in CA. Any ideas for a grad present? What are the more popular grad gifts this year? Budget - up to $75.

My daughter got gift cards to the bookstore for the school she will attend and to a special restaurant that is exclusive to the city where she is going. She thought those were nice. Also, she is trying to be green and someone gave her a Brita water filter; she loved it.

I graduated a week ago. I got a lot of Bed Bath & Beyond gift cards (you could also give Target, Ikea- whatever is nearest). I like the idea of the restaurant near campus.

However, if you’re not sure what to get her, I assure you that cash/a check will be appreciated! The majority of the gifts I got were checks.

My son says an Amazon.com gift card is always a good idea. You can buy just about anything on Amazon!

Thanks for your replies. Looks like the more practical the gift, the better! That’ll make it easy!
