So my friend is thinking about doing his masters degree(electrical engineering). According to my friend, he got everything ready and ready to apply but IELTS. He recently took the IELTS exam and got 5.5. So he was asking if there is any school(literally any except MBA) that accepts students w/ 5.5 IELTS score.
He probably needs to start in an ESL program to get the IELTS score up.
Some places will give him conditional admission, and will require that he study in their intensive English program for a semester or two before taking regular classes. He needs to check the websites carefully. He also could check the various intensive English prigrams, and see which of them have agreements with different universities. For example people who finish the most advanced level at ELS Language Centers do not have to take the TOEFL or IELTS if they are applying to certain universities.
