Hello, I was stupid and used AI on an assignment last quarter, and got put on academic probation for a month. My school’s policy states that they dont release disicplinary records without student permission, but does anyome know if this will still affect my chances of getting to grad school if I still have a couple years left of undergrad? Thanks for considering.
Probably not. Learn your lesson and move on.
It may affect your chances as all grad schools applications that I have read ask about academic dishonesty and school discipline.
Thx. I stand corrected.
I think it could impact some acceptances, but I am not convinced that every school will dismiss your application.
I think some of this depends on whether or not you acknowledge what you did and communicate how you grew/what you learned from the experience, what your letter writers have to say about you, whether you work for a few years first and what your employer says, how competitive the program is etc.
Your apps will be read by human beings coming from a variety of backgrounds, personalities, experiences etc.
what do you mean
