Would I have a chance at getting accepted for grad school for engineering at stanford if I get my undergrad at michigan, case western, or michigan state? I’m not completely sure how that works or how difficult it is to get accepted into a grad school that is more impressive than your undergrad

It honestly all depends on how you do academically during your undergrad years. One of my relatives went to a crappy college in the middle of nowhere, did pretty well and got accepted to a decent grad school, and did superbly there and got accepted to an Ivy for his PhD. In other words, you can come from a lesser school and get into better programs later on if you prove yourself worthy.

Those colleges are all excellent, but bear in mind that Stanford’s grad program is supremely competitive.
