I’m currently an undergrad at a top research university in the US in chemical engineering, and I’m planning on attending grad school to get a Ph.D. in chemical engineering.

If I go to a grad school in the US, my understanding is that tuition is free and I receive a ~$30k/yr living stipend (at least at top universities).

However, after looking at the University of Cambridge’s website, it appears that this is not how UK universities treat it. Would I be responsible for the cost of tuition (and living expenses) if I were to attend a UK graduate school?

Thanks for all insight!
