grad school for international relations?

for someone who wants to go into international relations, is grad school the practical option to do this? any advice?

I am not sure what you mean by ‘practical’, but grad-school is certain an option to do this. Whether it’s practical or not depends on what you mean. Many people who work for the State Department or for similar diplomacy jobs have graduate degrees.

practical as in… what are the other/better ways to get into international relations? does international relations require hands-on/internship experience? if so, would that be more difficult to attain if you were just a student at a grad school? or no?

Does any one know if the Monterey Institute of INternational Studies is a good school for International Policy??? please let me know…i’m seriously considering it…thanks!
