I want to go to grad school for economics, but I’m not sure if I’d have the stamina to get a Ph.D. So, I was wondering, do Master’s programs in economics pay stipends like the Ph.D. programs do?

bump. this is pretty important, since i have to make my decision today…

Masters degrees are generally unfunded. There are exceptions for specific cases but you would probably already know if that applied to you if you were making the decision today.

Oh…sorry for the confusion. I’m actually choosing which undergrad school to attend and was just wondering if undergrad debt of about 10k would be compounded by grad school for econ or not

If you have to pay back an undergrad debt of 10K over 10 years, that’s $1600-1700 per year, principal + interest, or maybe $135 a month. That probably shouldn’t be a deal-breaker.
