Would anyone be willing to edit my appeal for academic termination? It’s as follows. Please critique and see how I can change this.

Hello, my name is _________ and I would like to appeal my termination from the university. I appreciate the chance for an appeal.
I understand that due to an F in my statistics course a termination from the department would arise. I urge you to reconsider the appeal though.
This past semester I struggled a lot with my programming course. I had no basic knowledge about programming and had a lot of trouble with the coding languages that were taught. The course was an online course and although I understood the amount of effort and self discipline that is needed when taking an online course, I was not able to comprehend the material at the depth of what the professor was teaching at. Each time I thought I had understood the material based on the readings, and finished the labs, when it came to the exams and homework, I struggled being able to apply the concepts that I learned. I emailed and contacted the professor and he was very helpful and responsive, but, due to my lack of comprehending the material as well as lacking the ability to self learn new material in certain aspects that I have no background knowledge of and applying it to previous learned lessons, I was unable to keep up with what the professor taught each week. I was not confident in learning the material at times and was only able to understand the material at a bare minimum once the exams were finished. I tend to be a slow learner, and in many cases do not grasp concepts as quickly as other students, but I am diligent and I try to do my best when it comes to academics. In the case of this course, I applied a method that I used for one of the other courses that I have taken online in the previous semester, since I had thought that I could use that method of study to learn the online programming course. If I am to re-take this course, I would try to reach out to colleagues to see if they could refer me to anyone that whom can help. I have already taken a step to change my concentration to a general biology concentration rather than a focused concentration.
For me [University] is a school that has treated me well and given me a lot of opportunities to grow as a student. The professors, my advisors and the people whom I work with have all taught me valuable lessons regarding coursework and hard work in general, which makes me feel even more invigorated to continue down my chosen path and make me want to continue and not give up despite the hard coursework that is faced as a student.
