Has anyone had any dealings with gradcity.com for a high school graduation trip? Against my better judgement, D convinced me to allow her to participate in one of their trips. I THOUGHT the bill was paid in full in February. Not so! Every time I check the account, it shows that we owe a different amount. Fuel surcharges, flightlock add-on, you name it - they add it. To make things worse, D still doesn’t have confirmed travel dates. They’ve had my money since Feb and haven’t booked the flights yet? I called several times but can’t seem to talk to a human. So far, I haven’t received a call back. Sigh - I wish I’d listened to my little inner voice that screamed NO.

Based on what you’ve written here, you’d be within your parental “rights” to tell your D no way, contact your credit card company (you did pay with a credit card didn’t you?) and dispute the charges, explaining the non-response of the company to correspondence.

Your D may be mad for a time, but she’ll get over it. Come up with some type of alternative.
