Grade Deflation

Is there grade deflation at Cornell? Can someone elaborate on the basic system?

No. Cornell is about as grade inflated/deflated as any other top school (meaning that science classes have low means/medians while humanities courses generally have high means/medians). Avg. GPA at Cornell is around 3.2.

norcalguy, I have always been under the impression that Harvard, Yale, etc were the opposite of Cornell in that the science classes there are extremely difficult, but the humanities are quite difficult. A person who transfered from here to Harvard confirmed this when I spoke with him.

Humanities are Cornell are difficult in comparison to Science classes at Cornell. Classes at Cornell are, in general, harder than classes elsewhere.

What’s the difference between extremely difficult and quite difficult?

that should have read aren’t before extremely instead of are.
