People around the world are happy. Sometimes people are looking for more happiness than what they have that making them happy. In the book of Anthem by Ayn Rand written in 1937, there is one person, Equality 7-2521, who is looking for more than what is around. There are people who is satisfied with whatever they have at the moment. In the book of Animal Farm written by George Orwell in 1945, character name, Boxer the horse, described as the farm’s most dedicated and loyal laborer and happy with what is around it.
In the book, Anthem, by Ayn Rand, every single one individual person is one minded. They never think different thoughts, and work like a team. But there is one individual, Equality 7-2521, a person that did not like the way of society is working even though he was happy until certain point of the time. Every night, he goes to the tunnel that connects the town where he is staying and the forest that leads to freedom and invents lightbulb. Equality 7-2521 was capable of finding its own happiness but wanted more happiness than usual. Equality 7-2521 decided to escape the one minded society and find a new life for better happiness. There are people just like Equality 7-2521, wanting more happiness.
In other hand, there are some people behave just like Boxer the horse from the book, Animal Farm, written by George Orwell. Boxer was always happy with what was around it. If there were foods to eat, things to do, new owner, or more work to do, Boxer was happy with it. After the king of the animal farm died by bullet that was shot by the farm owner, Mr. Jones. After few days later, new king, Napoleon, came in and took over the farm. He was treating the farm as communist environment. Napoleon did not feed them correctly, or comforted them properly. Even though environment of the farm is getting worse, Boxer did not complain and been happy. There are some people that just happy about anything. People with positive thoughts, even though they have ability to find more happiness, they are delighted with their life style.
Therefore, people are capable of finding happiness, and also ability to find more than what they have depends on what their personalities are. Every individual are different. They all cannot be the same at the same time just like the book, Anthem. As Marie Corelli wrote on the book, A Romance of Two Worlds, “No one is contented in this world, I believe. There is always something left to desire, and the last thing longed for always seems the most necessary to happiness.” Even though there are not much of happiness, there will be something that could make every individual happy every day of their lives.
