grade my essay please :D

topic: does being content with the way things are prevent people from improving themselves and doing better?

As Winston Churchill, a Former Great Britain’s prime minister said " Attidute is a small thing that makes a great difference".

Whether being satesfied with way things are hinders development is a highly debated question. While some believe contention does not tarry progress and improvment, others disagree. It is my notion that contention does prevent people from becoming better. My Studies of Winston Churchill and Readings of To Kill a Mockingbird Confirm my contention.

My Belief can be proven by looking at the realm of literature. The novel to Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Atticus Fitch was not satesfied with the segragated enviornment his Children Scott and Jem grew up in. Because Atticus was not content; he decided to defend Tom Robinson in a litigation. Tom was a black worker who was accused of murder.Atticus and his kids were often harrased because Atticus defended a black man which at the time was not acceptable. By his actions, Atticus tought his children important life lessons that improved them as human beings such as : that everyone is equal and deserve to be treated equally, and to stick to their plan no matter how much privations are on the way. Atticus influence and improvement over his children can be seen in the end of the book when Scott meets Boo Radley whom she initaly believed was a weird and scary loner but turned out to be a regular human being whom she likes.

Not only in the realm of literature but also in the realm of History it is shown that contention hinder improvement.
Winston Churchill is considered by many to be a luminary war prime minister. However, what most people dont know is that during WWI Churchill was Responsible for the carnage of 25,000 British soliders in what would be called the Galipoli Campaign. As a result Churchill was fired from his government job and was offered a regular desk- like job which he declined. Churchil Hunger to improve himself as well as to prove his worth he decided to join to the British Army. After the War he returned to Britain where he was still a pariah in the British government. When the Nazis usurp Germany Churchill, unlike many of his collegues saw the imminent threat. Neville Chamberlin, Britain’s Prime minsiter at the time was forced to appoint churchil to be head of the Navy. Few months Later Chamberlin resinged and Churchill was appointed prime minister. By never being satesfied with failure, and by not being content with nazi party Churchil went from the lowest possible place to the zenith.

As Showed by History and literature alike, in order to become better one mustnt be content. one should always strive for greatness. always try to improve and never capitulate. As Liconlen said " My concern is not that you have failed, but whether you are content with your failure".

that took me about 32 mintues to write on paper… which is fine since i have extra 50 percent time which means i have total of 37 mintues to write the essay… so how is it?

I’m new to grading essays but I think 3/6. Good use of quotes and vocabulary, but I feel like you had a few spots with grammatical mistakes (I don’t know if they were just typos?). Like the “By his actions, Atticus tought his children…” and “Atticus influence and improvement over his children…” sentences seem to run on, or in “one should always strive for greatness. always try to improve and never capitulate.” the second sentence doesn’t have a subject (One should always try? You should always try?). Just my two cents.

first of all thank you for grading. second yea english is not my native language im still learnning it :)…

I give it a 3. Here’s why: The body paragraphs do not directly explain your position. It’s also held back by spelling and grammar mistakes.
