grade my essay please

Hey, I wrote two ‘perfect’ essays not under timed conditions but to the length of a normal SAT essay. I wrote this under timed condition with a bit of editing after finishing up. Pretty mediocre compared to my two ‘perfect’ essays but would this score a 10/11?

Should people let their feelings guide them when they make important decisions?

‘Emotion has no place here in business.’ Emotions define us as human beings but are a hindrance of judicious judgment. Our emotions should never interfere when making decisions. The two great mob films ‘The Godfather’ and ‘Goodfellas’ prove emotion to cloud judgment.

Universally acclaimed film ‘The Godfather’ displays the fatality of judgment based on emotions. Sonny Corleone’s explosive temper and tendency for violence prove to be his fatal flaws. His decisions are purely centered around his impulsive, erratic emotions. This leads to him being lured into a trap where he is violently gunned down. Sonny was all-heart, no-brains and his arbitrary judgment lead not only to his demise but proved him to be an incompetent leader. From witnessing the shocking death of Sonny, the audience learns the deadly lesson that emotions do indeed have no place in business.

Hailed as one of the greatest mob films of all time, ‘Goodfellas’ demonstrates the fatalities of choices influenced by anger. Tommy DeVito, a psychopathic mobster prone to shocking outbursts and capable of ineffable violence, proves his cruelty to be both his greatest virtue and fatal flaw. Although his cruelty impresses the mob families, it is shown to be a deadly combination when mixed with anger. One night, he savagely murders Billy Batts for taunting him despite Billy Batts’ ‘made’ status where the family grants him exoneration from violence. Tommy is eventually discovered as the murderer and is lured into a trap where he is brutally murdered. If only he had controlled his cantankerous anger and considered the consequences of murdering Billy Batts, he would have avoided his gruesome fate. Anger and emotions simply get people into trouble and is best discarded entirely while making a decision.

Having emotions and feelings is perfectly normal but it simply has no place in business. Proven through the two great mob films with the latter based on a true story, the audience must take heed and always remember the deadly lesson of the importance of discarding any emotion during judgment.
