<p>First quarter at UW I tried Engineering but did not like it/could not handle the material. I ended up with a 2.6 GPA (2.4 in Chem 142 and 1.8 in Math 125). Now that I have switched to Business I was able to get a 3.76 GPA (3.7 in Econ 200, 3.7 in Engl198). Now that I am getting used to the course work in college I plan to maintain my grades or even improve further. I am taking Econ 201 and Stat 311 along with 3-6 VLPA credits. If I continue to improve will Foster disregard/lower the weight of my first quarter grades in college like they kind of do for high school students applying for UW? For the personal statement on the application to Foster I think I have a good and personal reason for my low grades during my fall quarter, too.</p>
