Grades across four schools

Hi guys,

So I am wondering how it will look in admissions if I cannot get anything higher than a B+ at my home school, but get A’s at every other institution in our consortium. The fit at my current school (as you all very well know) is absolutely terrible. I do not agree with the mindset used in a lot of my classes, and often find myself in trouble because I like applying my subjects to other areas instead of focusing only on “what the text says”. Whereas, in the other three schools, this technique gets me excellent results every single time (hell, I got extra points once for taking about a literary technique used by Keith Richards). On top of that, I have a hard time focusing on my classes because I’m constantly struggling with my department and harassment about my sexuality.
I am applying to one of the three schools as a transfer, and the transferable GPA I have at that school is high enough to earn me a spot on the Dean’s List if I keep my grades up there. The problem is the grades from my current institution. I do not know if I should mention that the fit there is so terrible that it’s hindering my performance. The proof is in the pudding, but I do not know if it will make me sound like a complainer or not. What do you think?
