Grades or GPA for exchange program?

I’m applying for an exchange program with my university to a school in Europe that grades with ECTS. I have a 3.1 GPA and the minimum to apply is 2.5, but when I submit my transcript will my grades matter more than my GPA? I have a few B-s and those become Ds according to wikipedia. I dont have Cs or Ds or Fs. I want to study abroad and anywhere I apply uses ECTS too. For the most part, what matters more?

If you meet the GPA you meet it. ECTS is just a system for comparing across measuring systems. I’m not sure how you could know that your B- converts to a D- unless you know what % of the subject (not just your specific class) you were in, which seems unlikely. That is, if half the people in your subject got Cs, your B- (in theory) converts to an A or B. T ECTS grade is relative, not absolute grade, indicating how your mark compares to the grade distribution in your subject.
