I have a very high GPA (4.72) I am top 10% of my graduating class, putting me in the first decile of my class. I also attend a very hard academic curriculum school (I attend a private school) However, my SAT scores are not that great (3 part 1630, 2 part 1110).I do not do well on standardized tests. Will my SAT scores hurt me, and not allow me to get into Pitt?

Nono, I don’t know how they will affect your entrance to pitt, but I congratulate you on your work ethic. Clearly, you are a hard worker and that will take you much farther in this world than your test scores.

I had similar test scores, even a bit higher, and they weren’t high enough for me to be admitted. My highest ACT score when I applied was a 25, which is equivalent to a 1710 SAT score. Pitt requested new test scores from me because they were not high enough. My GPA is above a 4.0 also and I have a very rigorous senior year curriculum. I wish you the best of luck though. Did you already apply?

yes i did already apply
