<p>UNC grades on +/- system. Meaning… approx 94+ = A = 4.0, approx 90-93 = A- = 3.67, etc… The number grade each professor requires for an A, A-, B+, B, etc…is determined by that professor, or the dep’t, which is why I use the phrase ‘approx’. </p>
<p>Essentially, you receive a number grade which is translated to a letter grade by the professor/dep’t per their requirements…then UNC assigns GPA points to that letter grade. Then the GPA points for all of your classes are summed, weighted and averaged for your overall GPA.</p>
