Grading at Iowa

Hey,
I was wondering how the grading is at Iowa, specifically the math and sciene courses. What’s the curve like? In general, what percentage of people get A’s, B’s, C’s, etc. And how difficult is it to excel in these classes compared to… let’s say, the Humanities courses. Thanks!

Hi AznPride,

Full grade reports available here (click the link and then simply check Spring 2011 and Undergraduate):

Data is presented in several ways – you will get a report that will give you far more data than you can possibly absorb.

Data can be viewed at the university level, department level, course level, etc…

Enjoy!

Thanks. Sounds great. But I have to get a Hawkeye ID to enter? How do I do this?

Ahh – my D must have been logged in on the same computer when I was looking at that. Try the following report, which I think is in the public domain – pages 42/43 to get a higher level view:

I think other schools provide this same information, for comparison purposes.
