Graduate GPA Dilemma

I’m applying to doctorate programs and am sort of in a bind in terms of how to report my graduate GPA on the applications.

My graduate status GPA as indicated on my degree audit is a 3.67, this is the first GPA that’s reported on the audit. However, before being officially admitted into my current masters program; I took a (terrible) course as a non-degree student in which I received a C. I was admitted with conditions the next semester and passed with flying colors.

The issue is that there’s another section on my audit that’s denoted as “Graduate GPA regardless of program of study”, in which it lists a 3.33 GPA.

Which one do I report on the applications?

The lower one - you were enrolled in the course, after all.

At least that’s what I would do. Don’t stress about it too much. You’re sending all your transcripts, and they’ll see this class was not part of your degree program. When I went on interviews, I saw that the info sheet provided to my interviewers only had my undergrad GPA from my degree-granting school- not from any of the 4 other schools I took undergrad-level classes at. So, the schools will recalculate however they want to.
