<p>CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (April 15, 2010) The Lynch School of Education , the Carroll School of Management and Boston College Law School remained among the top programs in the country in the 2011 Americas Best Graduate Schools rankings by U.S. News & World Report, released today.</p>
<p>The Lynch School maintained its Top 20 status with a ranking of 19th among graduate education programs. The Carroll School of Managements full-time program ranks 39th, while the part-time program ranks 20th. Boston College Law School ranked 28th among US law schools. BCs Organic Chemistry section improved to 16th in the science specialties rankings.</p>
<p>At the Lynch School, two areas of specialization garnered Top 20 status, including Elementary Education, ranked 12th, and Student Counseling and Personnel, ranked 20th.</p>
<p>Once again we see in the U.S. News rankings a confirmation of the strength of the Lynch School, particularly in the areas of teacher preparation and psychology, said Lynch School Dean Joseph M. OKeefe, SJ. This is welcome recognition of our outstanding faculty and staff, as well as our students, who are all focused on a mission of service and change working to improve the lives of children and families in Boston and beyond.</p>
<p>The Carroll School of Managements full-time graduate management program moved up five places to 39th. The evening graduate program remained a Top 20 program for the sixth consecutive year, ranking 20th.</p>
<p>The US News rankings assess the quality of the students entering our program, the reputation of our program among business school deans and corporate recruiters, and the quality of opportunities our students have upon graduation, said Jeffrey Ringuest, associate dean for graduate programs at the Carroll School. </p>
<p>The ranking of our full-time program at the 91st percentile and our evening program at the 94th percentile of all accredited schools in the US are additional measures that the hard work of our students, faculty and staff is paying off. Combine these results with the Financial Times global MBA rankings and the Business Week undergraduate rankings and its a great time to be at the Carroll School, Ringuest said.</p>
<p>In the specialty science rankings, the Chemistry Departments Organic Chemistry section moved up two places to 16th, tied with Yale University.</p>
<p>The highly rated Connell School of Nursing and the Graduate School of Social Work are in categories that were not part of this years rankings cycle.</p>
<p>Highlights of the graduate school rankings are scheduled for publication in U.S. News & World Report magazine on April 27 and the America’s Best Graduate Schools guidebook goes on sale Tuesday, April 20.</p>
