Hello,

I’m a current college freshman that has just completed my first semester of college. I took sixteen credit hours, and my grades are as follows: A, A, A, B+, B+, B. My semester GPA is right at 3.55.

I didn’t graduate high school with honors or cords, because I had poor work ethic. I hated the busy work that they assigned and didn’t want to do it if it didn’t benefit me. I just didn’t see the point of sitting in classrooms for 8 hours a day and then having to go home and do more work. When I got into college, I loved it. I found it so much easier. I followed the syllabus and worked ahead, I attended class regularly, and I kept in contact with my professors. In fact, I was supposed to have a B in one of my classes, but after speaking with a professor, they raised it to a B+. The only thing I could have done better was studying as I went along instead of cramming the last minute. But, I made these grades by not really putting too much effort in, and going out every single weekend.

I’m currently a chemistry major and an aspiring anesthesiologist. Math isn’t my best subject, so I’m going to see how pre-calc, calculus, and chemistry go before setting my major in stone. However, my current goal is chemistry. Anyway, long story short, I want to graduate college with honors and cords. I’m joining honors fraternities (which get you cords) to help me with getting into medical school and studying.

How difficult is it to get as close to a 4.0 GPA at graduation? I know it might be challenging, but I’m setting this goal, and I want to work towards it. I plan to do my absolute best and change my study habits (occupy libraray, lol) this next semester to possibly get all or close to all A’s. Opinions?
