I’ve been referred to this link for graduation honor cutoff GPAs:

[UT College of Liberal Arts](http://www.utexas.edu/cola/student-affairs/Academic-Planning/Graduation/Honors.php)

But I also found this one as well

[FAQ - Graduation Information - Undergraduate Programs - The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin](http://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/udean/advising/graduation/gradinfo.asp#Honors)

Why are they different if the graduating with honors is depended on your graduating classes rank not program? Also how will the new +/- system effect the cutoff system?

Best,

does anyone know a link like those for the engineering school?

Read the General Information Catalog off of the Registrar’s Website. It talks about graduating with honors and I believe it shows the approximate minimum GPA of those who graduated with honors for each college.

[4. Academic Policies and Procedures | General Information, 2009-2010 | Registrar | University of Texas at Austin](http://registrar.utexas.edu/catalogs/gi09-10/ch04/gi09.ch04c.html#graduation-with-university-honors)

the engineering cut off is pretty cut to that.
however, the designation doesn’t mean very much in the long term of things. it has never came up in an interview for work or grad school. your work experience and references is much more important.
